One of the initiatives I’m so proud of inside our business is our Ascension Agent Program.
Over the past few years, we noticed something shifting in the industry.
Fewer people were seeing real estate as a long-term career.
The traditional EBU model was changing, and too often young talent were either thrown in the deep end too early… or stuck in support roles for too long.
Neither of those paths set people up for long-term success.
So we decided to do something about it.
We created the Ascension Agent Program — a structured pathway designed to grow the next generation of agents from within our own business.
The program currently has five team members, all in their twenties, who are working towards becoming standalone listing and selling agents.
They’re supported by the business, with the right structure around them to keep them learning and moving forward.
When an Ascension Agent uncovers a listing opportunity, they take a senior agent to the appointment.
Once appointed, the property is listed together and the campaign is run as a co-listing partnership.
And this partnership has been powerful.
The Ascension Agent brings energy, hunger and digital fluency.
They’re creative, fast-moving and eager to learn.
The senior agent brings experience, negotiation strength and wisdom earned from years in the field.
Together, they sharpen each other.
It’s coaching in real time, not just theory.
What’s been incredible to watch is how the relationship works both ways.
The Ascension Agents gain confidence and capability far faster than they would on their own.
And the senior agents rediscover something too — the joy of mentoring and shaping the next generation of the industry.
It’s a true win-win.
But the numbers aren’t the story.
The people are.
We’ve seen ambitious young agents find their voice and confidence.
We’ve seen team members step out from behind successful agents and build their own identity.
We’ve seen moments where belief suddenly clicks — like when a past client remembers an agent years later and chooses them to sell their home.
Those are the moments that change careers.
And they happen because someone was given an opportunity.
The program is supported heavily by Mark and Brett, who spend time working with these agents on prospecting, buyer servicing, listing presentations and our FUSS system (Fishing Upstream).
It’s hands-on coaching that keeps them focused on the fundamentals — their numbers, their mindset and their momentum.
The Ascension Agent Program has become something much bigger than a development pathway.
It’s the bridge between potential and performance.
It connects experience with enthusiasm.
Mentorship with ambition.
Belief with opportunity.
Because when you invest in your people — when you give them structure, support and space to grow — they’ll give that loyalty and performance back tenfold.
The future of real estate won’t be built by systems alone.
It will be built by people.
And sometimes the most powerful thing a business can do… is simply grow its own.
